September 6 marks the 20th Anniversary of Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries pastored by Bishop D. J. Williams and First Lady Ida Williams.
Standing like a beacon in a residential area of East Oakland , Wings of Love at 7007 MacArthur Blvd., has been an extraordinary example of community building and spiritual revitalization serving those most in need.
Their leadership and dedication has allowed Wings Of Love to flourish greatly, and their service to both members and the community has been a great inspiration to the local youth due to the great sense of character that they demonstrate. This milestone deserves tremendous celebration as they pursue great success in the years to come.
Mayor Ronald V. Dellums has officially proclaimed Saturday, September 6, 2008 as “Bishop D. J. and Ida Williams Day.”
