Playwright Leticia Pinn completed her 15th annual resurrection play “Jesus Reigns Forever”, with a cast of 60. Pinn was assisted by director Alma Fisher and assistant directors Judith Holtey Mendez, Sharisse Holman and production assistants Lisa Watson and Leona Kelly.
“This is not a fairytale, this is a visual of what really happened,” said Evangelist Linda Bogard-Walker.
Joaquin Mendez played the role of Pontius Pilot who executed of every male child under the age of two in Bethlehem and Margaret Carney brought the spirit of comfort to the congregation when she performed “The Lifter.”
When Daniel Battel, acting as the demon possessed man, raced down the aisle onto the stage and was healed by Jesus, played by Associate Pastor Andre Benson. Horatio Finley then sang “He is a Miracle Worker.”
Bernetha Stephens performed “God is Able” to illustrate the story of the woman who was healed by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment.
Many members felt that the play serves as an object lesson to teach members, especially the children, the lessons of the Bible.
