Customers Greeted with Updated and Streamlined Facility
After eight months of much needed renovations and pressing staffing issues, the Hayward field office of the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is back open for business! When the doors at 150 Jackson Street swing open Monday morning, April 25, 2011 customers will walk into a more welcoming and streamlined facility.
“We are excited to offer our customers a pleasant environment in which to conduct business,” said DMV Director George Valverde. “We are also thrilled to have the addition of newly-trained staff to provide continued, quality service to the Greater Hayward and East Bay area.”
The Hayward office was closed August 13, 2010 so necessary repair work could be completed. It has 30 full-time and 3 part-time employees who handle an average of 197,000 transactions each year.
