Frizzell Heads PG&E Communications

Roger Frizzell

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) announced Oct. 5  that it has appointed Roger Frizzell as Vice President, Corporate Relations and Chief Communications Officer. Frizzell, who has been responsible for all aspects of corporate communications at American Airlines since 2003, will oversee internal and external communications, online communications and advertising at PG&E. He will report to Greg Pruett, PG&E Corporation’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs.
At American Airlines, where he was Vice President, Corporate Communications, Frizzell was responsible for corporate communications, marketing communications, community citizenship, and the company’s publications.
An all-American wrestler at the University of Oklahoma, Frizzell gained newspaper writing and radio experience during his college years before starting his career in public relations at Western Electric, a division of AT&T. Over the span of his career, he and his teams have won more than 150 awards, including the National Golden Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators and PR Week’s Corporate Public Relations Team of the Year.
