MLK, Jr., Celebration at McClymonds High

Attitudinal Healing Connection, Inc., and other local organizations are hosting a  “Dream: Let’s Make it Real” Martin Luther King, Jr., National Holiday Celebration, Monday, Jan. 16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at McClymonds High School, 2607 Myrtle St. in Oakland.
The   focus of the event, which is free and open to the public, is on equity in education. The program will feature Dr. Elnora Webb, President of Laney College, keynote speaker, and honored guest Matthew Fox. Aimee Alison will be mistress of ceremonies. Indigenous sacred prayer will be presented by Xochipilli.
Entertainment will include Dezorah Smith, Destiny Knuckles, Oakland Interfaith Youth Gospel Chorus, Oakland School of the Arts Chorus, Winnie Wong and China’s Spirit Music Ensemble (CSME) and poet Michael Brown.
